JOB SUMMARY:

Summary

Transfers trailers and box trucks from holding areas to the production areas and finished units to designated parking spaces. Also includes regular rotation of units to other positions with the Facility. May or may not require a CDL license.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Operates jockey truck transferring trailers and trucks to and from the production areas.

The task requires maneuvering in and out of the vehicle up to a height of 4 feet frequently through out the day.

Ensures that units are processed in the order designated by management.

Ensures that records are updated and policy followed. Keeping the yard organized and in order.

Performs pre-op inspection of vehicle and post-op cleaning on a daily basis.

Yard checks are done periodically. Communicates with piers production supervision and management.

Must be able to perform the position responsibilities of a forklift operator.

Experience preferred.

Minimum Education

High school or equivalent

Experience Requirements

Reading and writing skills required. Must obtain a forklift license through company training. May require a CDL license.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

1. Physical fitness to perform all functions of designated work areas. This includes small tool use, full arm and leg range of motion, bend, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch, work in awkward positions.

2. Employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 35#, frequently lift

and/or move up to 55# and occasionally lift loads up to 50#.
